EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) came into force on May 25 2018.

This a wide-ranging regulation designed to protect the privacy of individuals in the European Union (EU) and give them control over how their personal data is processed, including how it’s collected, stored and used. It affects every company in the world that processes personal data about people in the EU.

Before GDPR we collected  email addresses for customers who filled in their personal details on a card printed by Graingers Pebble Beach.
When signing this card, which included their date of birth, some customers consented to us sending them an e-mail on their birthdays notifiying them that we would give them a free drink once they produced the email supplied by Graingers Pebble Beach..
They also consented to receiving emails from Graingers Pebble Beach informing them of any promotions and events that we organise.
All personal information is safely stored and  our mailing list is password protected.
No personal information is accessible to third parties.
Under GDPR we were required to obtain  permission from everyone on our mailing list to allow us to continue sending them emails.
Our mailing list has now been revised and only customers who expressly gave us this consent are now retained on our mailing list.It is important to note that even if you gave us consent you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. You have a right under the GDPR to access your personal data held by us and where necessary, to have it corrected. You have a right under the GDPR to request we delete your data. This request can be made verbally or in writing. We will respond to the request within one month.
